When I graduated college with a degree in Business, I never contemplated a career as a Financial Aid Consultant. Shortly after graduation, I began working as a Purchasing Manager for an auto glass manufacturer/importer. It was then that I mastered and honed my communication and people skills. After working in purchasing for nearly a decade, I shifted my focus to taking care of my children and working from home as a Medical Transcriptionist.
It was in 2014 that my life would change forever. I answered an ad in the local paper for an Administrative Assistant for a small college finance company, and that is where my new story began. I was hired by Barry Fox, of Barry Fox College Finance. He was an expert on all things relating to college finance. Under his tutelage, I began to learn everything I could about college finance.
In early 2019, Barry decided it was time to retire, and he offered me the opportunity to take the reins of his business. The trust that Barry showed in me to continue his legacy with his previous clients, as well as my establishing myself with new clients, has fueled my desire to be the best that I can be at my craft.
I have completed the required courses to become a NASFAA (National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators) Certified Federal Loan Specialist.
